The city of Bariloche, gateway to Patagonia, has a picturesque civic center. Framed by beautiful forests, snow-capped mountains and glacial lakes. Tour around the city, its incredible landscapes and learn about the native populations and European immigration.
The Nahuel Huapi lake, of glacial origin, is fed by the melting of the surrounding hills, this is the reason why it has crystal clear waters. Catamaran rides take you to visit the beautiful Victoria island and the fantastic “Arrayanes” forest, located on the Quetrihué peninsula.
The scenic route that connects the cities of Villa La Angostura and San Martín de los Andes, in the province of Neuquén, is known as the “Route of the 7 Lakes”. This route goes through two dazzling national parks in the country, the Nahuel Huapi and the Lanín.
From Bariloche along route 40 to the south you will find the Andean region of the 42nd parallel. This protected area preserves amazing landscapes and a rich biodiversity. Here stand out the fairy tale town called “El Bolsón” and also the “Puelo Lake National Park”.
Between June and September, the hills near Bariloche are covered with snow, and the different winter resorts are opened. Among them “Cerro Catedral” stands out. It is the most developed ski center in South America, with multiple options and activities to enjoy.
